Bioinformatics Software Development CourseApr 18-20 2006The course will give a good introduction to programming in EMBOSS. You will gain experience in all the steps in writing a basic sequence analysis application using the EMBOSS programming libraries. The course would suit competent programmers, probably with at least a couple of years of experience. To get the most from the course, a reasonable working knowledge of C is required, familiarity with pointers is helpful but not essential. That said, all are welcome regardless of background or experience. The course is a good opportunity to meet the EMBOSS developers and discuss your software projects with them. We are keen to collaborate with external developers and invite you to bring your ideas for discussion on the course.
