1. Matters Arising

None.

2. General progress on release 0.0.4

Alan has updated the sources to remove compiler warning messages.

Jon is working on a set of dynamic programming applications. They include (1) selection of a representative set of proteins from a set of input sequences; (2) aligning two proteins by sequence using any other sequence information such as secondary structure; (3) a simple Needleman-Wunsch implementation.

Gary suggested Pise (Catherine Letonde) as another interface for EMBOSS. He will send the URL to Peter.

3. Library documentation

Peter has produced a first draft of the library documentation, copied to Jon for comments.

Peter will work on demonstration programs "demostring", "demotable", "demolist" and "demosequence" with examples of the use and misuse of the AJAX object types.

4. EMBnet Cuba Course

Peter will check through the applications needed for the Cuba course and update them if necessary.

5. CCP11

Jon is planning a 1 day scientific meeting for library developers, including EMBOSS, BTL and any other generic libraries.
