1. Minutes of the last meeting

Minutes of the meeting of 11th Jnue 2004 are here

2. Software Development

2.1 Compilation failures in committed code

Following 3 recent problems, Alan proposed fines of £5 for code commits which cause compilation or build failures. This was accepted by everyone.

As with the original fines for bugs, the money will be used to fund a future party.

2.2 Release 2.9.0

Alan is testing installation of EMBASSY packages with a previously installed EMBOSS, as an alternative to installing in an embassy directory immediately under a source distribution.

Peter committed to updating the feature table for Sanger use before the release.

2.3 Code cleanup

Peter will give a talk on ACD and code changes next week, to update everyone on the recent code documentation and ACD standards in the code cleanup.

3. Documentation & Training

3.1 CCP11 SIG

The CCP11 SIG (special interest group) meeting at ISMB has very few registrations. It will clash with BOSC and the other SIGs before ISMB.

3.2 Sourceforge website

The Sourceforge website has been updated. Please check and comment.

The new project address will be publicised as http://emboss.sourceforge.net/ because http://www.emboss.org/ remains owned by Eric Bongcam-Rudloff and is not under control of the EMBOSS team We hope it will continue to redirect to the real EMBOSS pages.
