EMBOSS: C2 Support For Developers

We have updated all the source library documentation in the past few weeks. The library documentation and the EFUNC and EDATA databases in SRS should all match the latest versions of the libraries.

For developers we can provide the full source tree which includes the standard EMBOSS distribution, plus the files used by automake to generate the distribution.

Serious developers are asked to install CVS and the other software tools below. Version numbers are a guide. Other versions should work.

Developers can then update their source tree and commit changes and new applications to the master copy at the Sanger Centre.

We test the distribution each night to make sure it compiles and links on all available systems.

In the near future we will add tests for some applications to make sure that they work as expected.
