Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) : also distributed with EMBOSS as file "FAQ" in the top level directory.Reporting bugs and other problems
Bug reports and problems with installation etc. should be sent to emboss-bug@emboss.open-bio.orgBugs and other problems should be mailed to this address by anyone who finds them.
IMPORTANT NOTE We use sourceforge to keep track of bug reports and also requests for support. You may use sourceforge to report a bug report or ask for help, although you're likely to get a reply sooner if you use the mailing lists below instead.

This is a list for anouncements of new releases of EMBOSS. It therefore has a much lower number of postings that the other groups and is suitable for maintainers of EMBOSS at sites who want to keep the software updated but who have little interest in other discussions.Anyone can join this list to receive posting, but only a few core developers may post to it.
