1. Minutes of the last meeting
Minutes of the meeting of 25th June 2004 are
here
2. Software Development
2.1 Release 2.9.0
Alan will aim for a prerelease in preparation for July 15th as
the usual release date. This can be used by GUI developers.
All documentation should be copied to the new sourceforge website.
Documentation is needed for domainatrix and phylip.
Peter will run the final valgrind tests for memory leaks.
2.2 Jemboss
Some users have reported problems with Jemboss at RFCGR/HGMP. This
appears to be related to unusually large output files.
2.3 Domainatrix
Jon has fixed a bug in matrix handling code. AjPCath objects
have sequence records added, and a new domain object points to AjPScop
and AjPCath objects so that both can be supported.
Seven applciations have been enhanced, including CATH output and more
generic functionality.
ACD files have been cleaned up, replacing most of the "string"
datatypes with directory and other specific datatypes.
3. Documentation & Training
3.1 ISMB
Alan will configure the EMBOSS demo laptop.
Jon will print an A4 version of the poster as a handout.
Jon is invited to a "networking dinner" on
bioinformatics core facilities.
3.2 Rocplot paper
Jon's rocplot paper has been accepted.
4. Administration
4.1 User survey
Jon will publicise the user survey to a list of taget users,
and collate the results. The details are already on the Sourceforge
and HGMP/RFCGR websites.
5. User queries and answers
Gary's current list reviewed. Most new issues were already answered.
