Introduction

The application documentation is available for the CVS (developers) version and for the stable releases. They are also organised into groups of related functionality. There is also a table of areas requiring software development which includes proposed new applications. Please send suggestions for new applications to emboss@emboss.open-bio.org.

Application groups

The EMBOSS applications are organized into logical groups according to their function.

The application groups are available for the CVS (developers) and major releases of the stable version of the source code. From Version 5.0.0, groups are available for minor releases too.
